As you walk out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal BlueGreen Tanzania Safaris guide greets you with a big smile: 'Karibu Tanzania - welcome to Tanzania!' The guide takes you straight to your hotel, where you can relax and take in the African atmosphere. The next day your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your own safari jeep and take the liberty to stop and watch the animals as long as you like!
After a magical flight over Tanzania's savannahs, you arrive in the heart of Tarangire National Park. Your driver awaits you here for your first game drive of the day. Usually, your flight takes you to the park in time for lunch, which you can have in the middle of the savannah. A classic safari sundowner concludes the day, and the sight of the last sun shining over the herds of elephants and the ancient baobabs trees of the Tarangire plains is truly mesmerizing!
In the majestic Tarangire National Park, the focus lies on grandeur - cross paths with the countless gigantic baobab trees, in search of vast herds of elephants. And these giants are not the only large game you find here, since the Tarangire River and Lake Burunge attract countless lions, zebras, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, pythons, and monkeys to their waters. For smaller species, the grandeur lies in the numbers, as Tarangire is also an absolute haven for birdwatchers!
Gibb's Farm offers the old-age rhythm of an African farm and coffee plantation, right on the slopes of Ngorongoro Highlands. Walk around on this sanctuary of peace and tranquility, and watch vegetables being harvested, coffee roasted, cows milked, and pigs fed. The vegetable gardens, fruit trees, and herbs provide inspiration for the farm's chefs, who in their turn amaze visitors with a delicious lunch. A little piece of heaven!
Today you descend into the wonderous caldera of the famous Ngorongoro Crater. This is THE day to start your game drive early when animals are plenty and tourists few! Feel the little hairs on your arms rise as you descend into the crater, awed by the sight of clouds hovering and the numerous animals in sight. Coyotes, hyenas, buffaloes, wildebeests, gazelles, and many more animals can be found here and you are almost guaranteed to see them all.
Fly into the mind-blowing beautiful Serengeti National Park for the epitome of safari. See the infamous Big Five in all their glory, and, in certain months, wildebeests running by the thousands in the Great Migration. And even without that; this is big-cat-paradise with prides of lions on kopjes, cheetahs in the long, yellow grass, and leopards in trees. You arrive in time for an amazing afternoon game drive into the sunset.
Anything you can think of when you picture a luxurious safari, you will surely find in Serengeti National Park. Not only the Big Five, the famous Great Migration, and a multitude of big cats, but also rarer species such as the gerenuk or the wild dog, and did we mention the plus 500 species of birds? In between, you naturally spot antelopes, giraffes, elephants, zebras, hippos, and many more animals. Make sure to wake up at sunrise for an epic balloon safari...!
